We Are Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. This is a privately run reference service. We cannot retrieve or certify a record, verify a person's residence, or delete an entry from an agency database. Those requests must go to the government office that keeps the record. Call 911 for an emergency. Contact local police if you believe someone is stalking or harassing you.
Where to Request a Record
Use the custodian that holds the type of Ontario record you need:
- Deeds, liens, and county marriage records: contact the San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk or see Ontario public records.
- Court cases by name: use the San Bernardino Superior Court Access Portal or the court clerk.
- Birth and death certificates: contact San Bernardino County ARC, County Public Health Vital Statistics, or California Vital Records as the event and request require.
- Voter self-lookups and voter-file requests: see Ontario voter records and follow the restricted-use rules.
- Staff, school, property, and history directories: see Ontario people directories.
- Unpublished city records: submit a focused California Public Records Act request to Ontario City Clerk and Records Management.
